Parties are the best way to Posh

Everything about Posh Parties, start to finish.

A party turns your host's circle into real orders and real rewards. This guide walks you through the whole thing: how to set one up, run it, end it, and help your host claim what they earned.

Create and set up a party

Where to start, what each field does, and what you can change later.

Where you create one

You set up parties right from your own account. Two pages do the work:

PageWhat it's for
Party Center /party-center/Your home base. See every party you are running, and tap + Create Party to start a new one.
Create a Party /party-create/The setup form itself.
Party Dashboard /party-dashboard/Where you land after you create a party. This is where you manage that party, its guests, and its orders.

You are set as the party's Advocate automatically because you are logged in. There is no box to pick yourself, and the credit is yours.

The setup form, field by field

FieldWhat to enter
Party NameWhat guests see at the top of the invite and the shop. You have to fill this in.
All Day EventCheck this and you skip the start and end times. The party just runs across the dates you pick.
Start Date and Start TimeWhen the party opens. You have to fill this in.
End Date and End TimeWhen you plan to wrap up. You have to fill this in, and you can change it later.
Party Timezone"Select where your party is happening." Seven U.S. zones. It starts on Mountain.
Party Description optionalA friendly line or two about the occasion.

About the host

Every party has a host. Pick one of three ways to set that up:

  • I am the Host. You are hosting your own party.
  • Mystery Host. You do not have a host yet. You will pick one of your guests later with the Make Host button.
  • A named host. Enter the Host First Name, Host Last Name, and Host Email. You fill these in unless you chose one of the two options above.
i
What the host getsThe host earns rewards based on party sales, and gets their own dashboard to manage guests and track orders.

Allow Ship to Host

This box starts out checked. When it is on, guests can send their order to the host for pickup for $4.99, and everything ships together at the end. When it is on, you also fill in the host's address: Street Address, Apt / Suite (optional), City, State, and ZIP Code.

!
Get this right before you createThe Ship to Host setting and the host's address are set when you create the party. After that, they stay as they are for the life of the party. Check the address before you tap Create Party.

Edit and extend

Changing the details, and pushing the end date out.

Open the party from your dashboard and tap Edit. You can change the Name, the Description, and the Ends date and time. The Starts date shows on the form but you cannot change it.

Pushing the end date out

Change the Ends field and save. That is all there is to extending a party. If your party has guests shipping to the host, you will see a quick confirm:

Ship to Host"Keep current end date"  /  "Yes, update the end date"

Tap Yes, update the end date to push it out.

!
Ending a party is one way onlyOnce you end a party, it does not go back to open. There is no button to reopen it. If you think you might need more time, change the end date while the party is still running, instead of ending it early.
3

Dates and deadlines

How the end date really works. Read this part closely.

Here is the one thing to remember: the end date is your plan, not an automatic shut-off.

The end date does not close the party on its own

When your end date passes, nothing closes by itself. Your party keeps taking guest orders until you or your host taps End My Party. The date is there to set expectations and to give your invites a deadline. The party stays open until someone ends it on purpose.

  • After the end date passes, your party list may label the party Ended. That is just a label. The party is still open.
  • Guests can still order during that time.
  • To actually stop orders and start rewards, end the party yourself. See Ending and redeeming.
i
No set lengthThere is no default party length. You pick the start and end dates each time. The form just stops you from setting an end date that lands before the start.

Pick a date you will actually act on

Since closing is a step you take, treat your end date as a real promise to your host and guests. Pick the day you will sit down, end the party, and walk your host through their rewards.

The three party stages

Every party moves through these in order, and only forward.

Stage 1

Open

Guests are shopping and sales are climbing. Your host watches their reward meter fill up. This is the active party.

Stage 2

Host redemption

You have ended the party. Party sales are locked, rewards are figured out and frozen, and the host shops their rewards.

Stage 3

Closed

The host has checked out, or you finalized it. Everything ships together. The party is done.

What moves a party from one stage to the next

Open to Host redemption

This happens when you or the host taps End My Party. You will see a confirm first:

End your party?"This can't be undone."    "Keep Party Open" / "Yes, End My Party"

At that moment, party sales lock, the host's rewards freeze at whatever tier they reached, and the host gets an email plus an Open Host Shop button:

"Your party has ended. Time to shop your rewards!"

Host redemption to Closed

This happens when the host checks out of their Host Shop (even if the total is $0), closes without ordering, or you finalize it for them. Now the party is closed for good.

What your host sees at each stage

StageThe host's dashboard
OpenParty sales total, the reward meter, the guest list, and End My Party.
Host redemption"Party sales are locked. Add your items before we ship the consolidated order." Plus the Host Shop button.
ClosedEditing and ordering are finished. The party is complete.

How guests join and shop

From invite to order, and how party sales drive rewards.

Joining

Guests get an invite email. The subject reads "You're invited to {your party name}!" and it has a personal link inside. Tapping that link brings them right into the party shop, with no code to type. If a guest lands on the party page without a link, they enter their name and email, a link gets sent to them, and that link brings them in.

"We sent a link to your email. Tap the link to join the party. It opens right back here, no code needed."
i
Tell guests to tap the link soonInvite links are meant to be used promptly. If a guest's link ever stops working, just resend the invite from your dashboard and they will get a fresh one.

RSVP and ordering

As guests move along, their status updates on your guest list: Invited, then Yes when they join, then Ordered when they buy. They shop the party catalog, pick how to ship at checkout, and once they pay, they show as Ordered.

Party sales and your reward tier

There is one sales number that drives host rewards:

NumberWhat it countsWhy it matters
Party salesEvery paid order on the party: guest, host, and advocate. This is the meter your host watches and what reward tiers are based on.
!
Every order counts toward the tierGuest, host, and advocate orders all build Party sales and count toward reward tiers. The one extra rule is the $1,000 Party Multiplier: that perk still needs at least 5 different guests who placed an order.
6

Host rewards and tiers

The full chart, what each perk is, and how your host redeems.

Rewards are earned on party sales, and they lock in the moment you end the party. Here is the full chart:

Party salesPerks PointsHalf-price itemsFree shippingFriend passesMultiplier
$100$100No0No
$250$351No0No
$500$1002Yes1No
$1,000$2005Yes2Yes*
$2,500Coming soon

Under $100 in party sales, there is no reward tier yet. Keep the party going to cross $100.

*The Party MultiplierAt the $1,000 tier, if at least 5 different guests placed an order, every one of those guests earns 10% of their order back in Perks Points when the party closes. With fewer than 5 guests who ordered, the multiplier does not kick in.

What each perk is

  • Perks Points. Store credit the host spends in their Host Shop. $1 of Perks is $1 off.
  • Half-price items. That many items at 50% off in the Host Shop.
  • Free shipping. The host's own order ships free. Without it, the host's shipping is $4.99.
  • Friend passes. Passes worth $25 plus an extra half-price item, which the host can send to friends.

How your host redeems

  1. You end the party. Rewards are figured out and frozen.
  2. The host opens their Host Shop from their dashboard.
  3. Step 1: "Here's what your party earned." They see their Party sales total and tap Continue to Shop Your Rewards.
  4. The Host Shop. They spend Perks Points, pick half-price items, add bundles, and build their cart.
  5. Checkout. If anything is owed after Perks, they pay it. If Perks cover the whole thing, it is $0. Either way, they confirm.
  6. Done: "Thank you! Your party is complete. Guest and host items ship together in one package."

A host who does not want to add anything can just tap Close without ordering. That still closes the party cleanly.

Host bundles

Inside the Host Shop, your host can build category bundles:

"Buy 3 in a category, lowest-priced item free. One bundle per category per party."

The three categories are Hand Crème, Chunk, and Face Mask. The host picks their own scents, and the lowest-priced of each three comes free. They can do one bundle in each category, once per party.

i
Friend Pass welcome bonusIf a friend pass is in play when the party closes, the host's wallet gets $25 added and one more half-price item, shown as a "Friend Pass welcome credit."
7

Ship to Host

One box for everyone, and how the shared shipment works.

When Ship to Host is on, guests can send their order to the host instead of to their own address. It all ships together in one box when the party closes.

What the guest picks at checkout

How would you like your order shipped?
OptionWhat it meansCost
Delivered to {host} Best deal!"Your host receives the order and passes it along to you. Orders ship after the host closes the party."$4.99
Ship directly to me"Standard shipping to your door."Normal rates

How the shared shipment works

  1. Guest "ship to host" orders are held until the party closes, so nothing ships out one at a time.
  2. The host ends the party and shops their own rewards. The host's order also goes to the host's address.
  3. At close, all of it is grouped into one shipment to the host, and tracking is shared across those orders.

That is the line your host sees: "before we ship the consolidated order."

!
Set this at creationShip to Host and the host's address are picked when you create the party, and they stay that way for the life of the party. If a host's address might change, confirm it before you create.
8

Ending and redeeming

The two-step close, and the emails that go out.

Closing a party happens in two steps, with a redemption window in between. That is on purpose. It locks the host's earnings in place before they shop.

Step 1: End the party

You or the host taps End My Party. Party sales lock, rewards are figured out and frozen, and the host gets an email:

If they...Email subject
Reached a reward tier"Your Host Shop is ready"
Did not reach a tier"Your party has ended"

Nothing ships yet, and nothing is final at this point.

Step 2: Host redeems, party closes

The host shops their rewards and checks out. That final checkout (or a close without an order) is what truly closes the party and releases the shipment. The emails that can go out here:

What happenedEmail subject
Host Shop order placed"Your Host Shop order"
Party closed, rewards summary to you"Host rewards calculated for your party"
Shared package details"Your party package, here's what's inside"
You sent a gift"Your gift to your host has been sent"

Sending your host a gift optional

Before you close, you can send your host a gift from $5 to $50, straight from your own Perks wallet. At close, it moves from your wallet to theirs, with the note: "Your gift to your host has been sent from your Perks wallet." It is a nice way to thank a great host.

i
Finalizing for a hostIf a host does not get around to shopping, you can finalize the party for them so the package can ship. Use this when a host has gone quiet and orders are waiting to go out. Their earned rewards are still figured out and recorded.

Quick answers

The things advocates ask most.

My party's end date passed but it is still taking orders. Is that broken?

No, that is how it works. The end date does not close anything on its own. The party stays open until you or your host taps End My Party. You can change the date anytime, or end the party when you are ready.

A guest ordered but is not showing on my party. What happened?

First, check that the guest used their own invite link to get into the shop. If it still looks off after that, reach out and we will get the order attached to your party.

Can a host unlock rewards by buying their own products?

Every order on the party counts toward the reward tier now, including the host's own. The best parties still come from a host rallying their circle, but a host's own order does add to the total. The $1,000 Party Multiplier still needs at least 5 different guests who placed an order.

Can I reopen a party after I end it?

No. Ending is one way only. If you might need more time, change the end date instead of ending the party early.

What if my host never shops their rewards?

You can finalize the party for them so the shared package ships. Their earned rewards are still figured out and recorded.

What number drives host rewards?

Party sales is the number on the dashboard and perk meter. It includes every paid order on the party (guest, host, and advocate) and decides which reward tier the host reached. You may also see an ordering guest count on the dashboard; that count is only for the $1,000 Party Multiplier, which needs at least 5 different guests who ordered.
